Smells of Autumn: Make Your Bathroom the Best Smelling Room in the House!
October 9, 2015 / Mansfield

Imagine the departure of summer and the arrival of fall. You can almost smell pumpkin spice cookies baking, hot apple cider simmering or warming yourself by the first fire of the season.

These pleasing scents can be captured in the bathroom very easily. Here are some fast tips for making your bathroom smell like autumn:

Tip #1: Create a seasonal wreath to hang on your bathroom wall or door. Add cloves, dried oranges and cinnamon sticks plus colorful autumn leaves to add a spicy scent to your bathroom.

Tip # 2: Purchase scented candles. Don’t light the candles unless you’re there to supervise them, but you can leave the tops off the jars to fill the room with the comforting aromas of pumpkin pie, warm apple crisp or vanilla bourbon.

Tip #3: Soak acorns overnight in buttery nut scents of bath oils or fragrance oil, then place the bowl of the drying nuts on a shelf to allow the scent to fill the bathroom.

Tip #4: Indulge in scented soaps. The smell of cinnamon bun parfait or spiced apple cider can linger long after your bath is done to create a heavenly autumn bathroom retreat.

Tip #5: Cheat. Go ahead and buy a commercial air freshener or aroma beads in an autumn scent like brown sugar, pumpkin spice latte or nutmeg.
