BAA Compliant
Under the BAA, government procurement contracts generally are required to specify products that are manufactured in the United States and have at least 50% of the finished goods’ costs originating from components made in the U.S.
TAA Compliant
The Trade Agreements Act (TAA) was enacted in 1979 to afford government contracts within certain circumstances and budgetary thresholds a little more flexibility on the Made in USA requirement. The TAA allows for the use of products that are “substantially transformed” in the U.S. or are manufactured in a country with whom the United States holds a trade agreement. The list of TAA “designated countries” includes Mexico, Colombia, Canada and many others; it does not include China.
