Mansfield® Wins 2 ADEX Awards

Mansfield® received two 2008 ADEX Awards (Awards for Design Excellence) presented by DesignJournal magazine for its new suites. With its product designs judged by top industry professionals, Mansfield received a gold honor for ithe modern Reo Suite and a silver honor for the transitional Essence Suite.

Mansfield’s new “affordable style” suites include the Barrett, Essence, and Reo, all based on extensive consumer research that determined design as the most important factor at any income level. “We designed the new suites with variety in mind to meet anyone’s personal style – classic, modern, traditional, innovative,” said Alejandro Sierra, director of product management for Mansfield Plumbing’s Sanitaryware division. “And Mansfield is honored to receive an award that recognizes quality and style.”

Features of the awarded suites include:

Reo Suite:

• Elongated, two-piece, ADA compliant toilet
• Demi vessel or under counter lavatory
• Oval whirlpool, soaker or air massage bathtubs in four different sizes

Essence Suite:

• Elongated, two piece ADA, compliant toilet
• Matching pedestal lavatory with towel bar option or drop in lavatory
• Whirlpool, soaker or air massage bathtubs in five different sizes.

DesignJournal’s Award for Design Excellence (ADEX) recognizes top companies and their products for innovative and quality design. Top industry professionals representing a variety of design categories judged 500 companies and approximately 2,000 products for the 2008-09 awards. Each category has the potential to receive three award levels - platinum, gold and silver – based on the total points earned. Winners are published in DesignJournal’s April issue.
